The requirements for JKCET 2025 include class 10+2 qualification with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum marks to appear for the JKCET 2025 examination are 45% or aggregate for general categories and 40% for SC and ST categories.

You can appear for the JKCET 2025 examination irrespective of any minimum or maximum age limit set by the official. Also, as a domicile criterion, you must have a J&K or ST UT certificate issued by the competent Authority of UT of Ladakh to be considered as a domicile certificate of UT of Ladakh. Reservations for SC, ST and EWS students are 8% and 10% respectively. Following the above JKCET eligibility criteria, you can fill out the JKCET 2025 application form on 5th June 2025.

JKCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  1. Only persons who are permanent residents of the state of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply for JKCET 2025.
  2. You must have passed the Higher Secondary Education Examination, which may be HSC or 12th class or its equivalent 10+2, from a recognized board or university.
  3. A candidate in the open merit category must secure at least 45% (40% for reserved category candidates) in the Higher Secondary Education (HSC) examination in aggregate marks.

JKCET 2025 Minimum Educational Qualification

  1. For admission in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course, candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
  2. For admission in medical courses like MBBS, BDS, Physiotherapy and BAMS/BUMS, candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects.
  3. Students appearing for the qualifying examination (HSC) are also eligible to apply for JKCET 2024.
  4. Such students must submit their original mark sheets at the time of counselling if they have been selected. In case a student is unable to achieve the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, then he/she will not be considered for the admission process.

JKCET 2024 Age Criteria

There is no minimum or maximum age limit to appear for the JKCET 2024 exam.

JKCET 2024 Eligibility for Open Merit Candidates

  1. Open merit candidates are those candidates who have registered under TFW or P&B category.
  2. Candidates seeking admission in MBBS and BDS courses must have passed the core subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology independently in 10+2 examinations.
  3. A candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination.
  4. Also, a candidate must achieve a minimum of 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in JKCET 2024 to appear in the merit list prepared by the competent authority.

JKCET 2024 Eligibility for Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST/Other Backward Classes)

  1. A reserved category student must secure a minimum of 40% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 examinations.
  2. In addition, a student must secure a minimum of 40% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in JKCET 2024 to appear in the merit list.
  3. The eligibility criteria for reserved category students are as laid down in the Reservation Rules and MCI/DCI Regulations.

JKCET 2024 Reservation Criteria

Reservation rules apply only in government-funded colleges unless specified by a private college. JKCET Reservation Criteria for Applicants Seeking Admission to Various Professional Courses in the State of Jammu and Kashmir If a Reserved Category Certificate submitted by the candidate is found to be invalid, then the candidate will be considered as an Open Merit Candidate.

  1. No notice will be given in this regard by the competent authority. Reserved Category Certificate submitted by the candidate which is already expired or still in process will not be accepted under any circumstances.
  2. If a Reserved Category Certificate is valid at the time of application but expires before the JKCET Counselling Process, then the candidate should renew the certificate on or before the date of counselling.
  3. The candidate should mention only one reserved category even if he/she belongs to more than one reserved category.
  4. Fill the category details correctly as a candidate will not be allowed to change the category option once selected at any stage.
  5. The category code provided by the candidate in the corresponding serial number of the application number will be taken into consideration
