CMAT Reservation Criteria 2025

There is no reservation policy for the CMAT exam, but for admission, B-schools that accept CMAT scores will consider the reservation criteria as prescribed by the Government of India. To avail of the reservation benefits at the time of admission, candidates must mention their reservation status (caste/PwD category) in the CMAT application form.

CMAT Reservation under Persons with Disabilities

Candidates suffering 40 per cent or more disability (from listed disabilities) can claim admission under the PwD category. The PwD list of disabilities is as follows:

  1. Blindness and low vision
  2. Deaf and hard of hearing
  3. Locomotor disability includes cerebral palsy, leprosy, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.
  4. Autism, intellectual disability, specified learning disability and mental illness, and
  5. Persons suffering multiple disabilities from (1) to (4).
  6. Other ‘specified disabilities’ mentioned in RPwD Act 2016.

Candidates can change their category in the CMAT application form only till the last date of application submission. After that, no change will be allowed.

CMAT Eligibility for Scribe/Reader

Candidates with disabilities under the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected BA) and cerebral palsy, can avail of the facility of scribe/reader/lab assistant on CMAT exam day. Such candidates must submit a written request to the CMAT Test Center Superintendent regarding their Scribe/readers along with a disability certificate issued by an authorized medical Officer. The CMAT Test Center Superintendent will provide a scribe/reader who is at least one year academically junior to the candidate.

  1. CMAT Test Centre Superintendent will provide a scribe/ reader who is at least one-year junior to the candidate academically.
  2. Candidates availing scribe/reader can request the Centre Superintendent to meet the allotted scribe a day before the examination to verify their suitability and general acquaintanceship.
  3. Candidates availing scribe/reader will be provided an extra 60 minutes beyond the test duration of the CMAT exam.

CMAT Registration 2025

The online registration process of CMAT 2025 started on 29 March and it will end on 23 April. The candidate, before filling up the application form, has to check whether he or she is eligible for CMAT. Candidate shall have to provide details in the application form related to their personal and academic information. Thereafter, documents like photographs and signatures have to be uploaded by the candidates.
