World University Of Design National Recognition

WUD, Sonipat is India's first university dedicated to education in innovation, by the Haryana Private Universities Act 2006 with the right to grant degrees under Section 2(f) and 22(I) of the UGC Act. All WUD degrees are approved by the UGC.

World University Of Design Accreditations

  1. University Grants Commission (UGC): The World University Of Design is acknowledged through the University Grants Commission (UGC) which means that the degrees granted by WUD, Sonipat are recognized and valid.

  2. Association of Indian Universities (AIU): WUD, Sonipat is officially affiliated with the (AIU) Which is one of the most prestigious organizations that works for quality education across the country.

  3. AICTE (All Indian Council of Technical Education): As per AICTE's legal structure, institutions such as WUD, Sonipat are not required to obtain AICTE approval. This rule applies to all institutions that are affiliated with universities. Because WUD is a genuine university created by an Act of the State, a State Act, it operates on its own without the requirement of AICTE approval A precedent in law was established by the court case Bharathidasan University Vs AICTE.

  4. Council of Architecture (COA): Council of Architecture which is a legal body formed by the Government of India through the Architect’s Act of 1972. It helps to support the educational institution, which needs the recognition of the architecture’s standards and regulations.

  5. ASCI: ASCI is an education skills council formed for the agricultural industry of India which is a part of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurial Development of India. Its purpose is to increase input capacity in agriculture by improving human capital which includes farmers, wage earners, self-employed individuals, or extension workers who are from the organized as well as organized agriculture sector. More so, the ASCI has made a significant input as a reference source given the constantly shifting dynamics in Indian agricultural systems.

  • As per law, Universities do not require AICTE approval. Only institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval.   • Council of Architecture Indian regulatory body coa.gov.in The Council of Architecture is a statutory body constituted by the Government of India under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972, enacted by the Parliament of India, which came into force on 1 September 1972.

  • Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) is a Section 8 Not for profit concern working under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). ASCI works towards capacity building by bridging gaps and upgrading skills of farmers, wage workers, self-employed & extension workers engaged in organized / unorganized segments of Agriculture & Allied Sectors. ASCI is contributing to nation building through Skill Development in Agriculture especially at the times when country's agriculture is experiencing stagnant growth, exodus of quality manpower to other sectors, changing climate with increased variability in production parameters and transformations in international agriculture markets that are especially too much subsidized challenging the competitiveness of Indian Agriculture.
