NRI sponsored Category which includes Foreign Citizen, PIO / OCI card Holders, NonResident Indian, and NRI sponsored Category.
NRI SPONSORED CATEGORY
a) A ‘Non-NRI candidate’ may also apply for admission under ‘NRI-sponsored
category’, if the candidate fulfills the conditions prescribed by the Hon’ble
Supreme Court of India [in its order dated 22.08.2017 passed in W.P. (C) No.
689 of 2017
b) Who is eligible to be a sponsor?
(i) If the mother or father of the candidate is a NRI and residing abroad
ordinarily; or
(ii) If the first-degree relation of the candidate is an NRI and residing abroad
ordinarily and it would include real brothers and sisters; or
(iii) If any of the ‘nearest relation’ is an NRI and residing abroad ordinarily.
The nearest relation would include:
(a)Real brother and sister of father i.e., real uncle and real aunt
(b)Real brother and sister of mother i.e., real maternal uncle and
maternal aunt;
(c) Father and mother of father i.e., grandfather and grandmother;
(d)Father and mother of mother i.e., maternal grandfather and
maternal grandmother; and
(e)First degree-paternal and maternal cousin
Admission to UG / PG Medical / Dental /Homoeopathy Programme
Admissions are based on marks secured in NEET UG / NEET PG / NEET MDS /
AIAPGET Examination and merit-based online counseling will be conducted by the
following Authorities.
MBBS/ BDS/ MD / MS / MDS

- The Medical Counseling Committee(MCC) of the Directorate
- General of Health Services, Ministry of Health &
- Family welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
- BHMS / MD (Homoeopathy)
Programmes -
- AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee of
- Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi.
- Admission to Paramedical / Allied Health Sciences / Engineering programs:
- Admissions are based on marks secured in 10+2 (H.Sc) or its equivalent
- Examinations. NRI candidates do not need to appear for any entrance examination.
- The NRI/NRI sponsored/Foreign students shall be required to comply with the
- requirements prescribed by the respective statutory professional Councils in India, about the programs to which they are admitted.
PROCESS OF APPLICATION AND ADMISSION
a) All eligible applications will be considered on merit, program-wise, by the Admission
A committee and ‘provisional allotment letter’ will be sent to the candidates by
Email.
b) Those students who receive the letter of provisional allotment will be required to pay
the first installment fee on or before the date stipulated in the said letter of
provisional acceptance
failing which their provisional allotment will stand cancelled and the seat will be
offered to other applicants.
c) Mere receipt of the provisional allotment letter shall not entitle admission to a
candidate unless he/she completes or has completed the 12th Grade in
an accredited high school and satisfies all requirements stipulated for admission and
submits documentary proof in original at the time of admission for verification.
DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED
a) Candidates applying for admission to Paramedical/ Allied Health Sciences /
Engineering programs under NRI/NRI Sponsored/International Category
should enclose a photocopy of the following documents (originals will have to be
produced at the time of final admission)
i) 10th and 12th Grade Mark statement/Transcripts
(ii) 12th Grade Diploma Certificate (For Diploma/GCE Level)
(iii) Transfer Certificate
(iv) Conduct Certificate
(v) Migration Certificate
(vi) Birth Certificate for proof of age
(vii) Certificate from the concerned authority to show that the high school (in
which the Candidate has studied) has been accredited by the State/Country
concerned.
(viii) Numerical Conversion of grade etc.
(ix) Equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities for qualifying
Examinations.
(x) First page of the Passport containing the photograph of the candidate and
also the VISA/PIO Card/OCI Card., if any.
b) Additional documents to be attached by the ‘NRI Sponsored’ Candidates with
the application
(i) Notarized affidavit of the Sponsorer who is an NRI stating that the candidate is
his / her relative (mentioning exact relationship) and that the Sponsorer has
already extended financial support to the candidate to pursue his/her studies
and that the Sponsorer agrees to sponsor the entire fee for the undergraduate
course/program to which the candidate has now applied for;
(ii) A certificate issued by the Indian Embassy to the Sponsorer certifying the
Sponsorer’s status as a NRI, and indicating his/her employment/occupation
details including annual income;
(iii) A copy of the Passport and Visa of the Sponsorer;
(iv) Certificate issued by any Gazetted Officer of State/Central Government
stating the relationship of the NRI sponsor with the candidate.
VISA AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
a) On receipt of the 1st installment fee, the NRI//NRI Sponsored/International
candidates will be issued a “letter of ‘provisional admission’ within a week and
the students are advised to approach the respective Indian Consulate for
a student’s visa immediately. For any NRI student, getting a student visa for
studies in Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University)
would not be a problem. NRI students are advised to obtain and bring the
Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card. This gives several privileges for
students to come in and go out of the country any number of times with ease.
b) The NRI/NRI Sponsored/International candidates are required to comply with all
immigration norms specified by the authorities of the Government of India regarding admission to educational institutions and stay in India. They are
advised to visit www.indianfrro.gov.in to know the latest updates. During their
study period, they are advised to visit the website frequently.
