Central Library The University Library is located in the heart of the campus and was constructed according to a modular design. It has a central air-conditioned reading space for about 500 users including scholars, students,   and private members of the university. Moreover, the reading space for newspapers and magazines is in the browsing section of the Dhanvantri Library. The library provides a lift facility and ramps for specially-abled persons. To facilitate routine operations, the Central Library of the University is equipped with an Integrated Library Management System. Central Library serves as the foundation for academic activities at the University, and the University Council has assigned it one of its primary responsibilities to check plagiarism in University research output.

In addition to providing access to e-resources from INFLIBNET, the library also provides access to open-access resources. As part of the library's digital services, the library also provides access to its digital repository. It also offers a wide range of services such as reference services, information literacy skills, and current awareness services. In addition, the library actively participates in strengthening the digital repository of theses to the Shodganga Portal.

Auditorium

The University Of Jammu Auditorium is a State of the Art Auditorium. The Auditorium Complex is named after one of the most illustrious sons of Jammu, General Zorawar Singh. It was the then Chancellor of the University, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) S. K. Sinha, PVSM, who suggested the name. According to the family tradition, Zorawar was born in about 1784 AD in a Chandravanshi Kahluria family in the village of Ansar in tehsil Hamirpur of the Kangra district. As a youth, Zorawar Singh was a bold and intrepid adventurer who served as a soldier in the army of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Maharaja Sansar Chand of Kangra. Later, he joined Maharaja Gulab Singh’s army and his valiant and chivalrous disposition caught the attention of Gulab Singh who appointed Zorawar as Inspector of Commissariat supplies for all the forts north of Jammu. When Kishtwar was annexed by Gulab Singh in 1820, Zorawar Singh was appointed as Hakim (Governor) of that district, a position he held up to 1836. The stage was set for Zorawar’s greatest military expedition. He prepared his army for combat in the lofty snow-bound lands north of the Himalayas. Zorawar Singh’s conquest of Ladakh, Baltistan, and Tibet is etched in golden words in the annals of high-altitude warfare and can be compared to Hannibal’s march across the Alps.

Conference / Seminar Rooms

The University of Jammu regularly holds National and international level conferences and seminars on various themes and disciplines. To cater to the diverse needs of the participants and the presenters, the University of Jammu hosts several seminars and conference halls. The seminar hall in the Vice-Chancellor's secretariat is a time favorite for holding interaction among a group of 50-70 people. Besides that, JU also holds conferences and seminars through video conferencing, which is housed in a hall to accommodate 30-40 persons.

The Department of Computer Sciences & IT also hosts a spacious seminar hall which can accommodate 170 people. The Department of Environmental Sciences has a round table seminar hall which can accommodate 120 persons The Business School has also added a seminar hall in its block. This seminar hall has a seating capacity of 50-70 persons.
