• Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Sc. (Hons.) Co-operation & Banking, B.Sc. (Hons.) Climate Change & Environmental Science and B.Tech (Bio-Technology) degree programs (4-year duration) offered by Kerala Agricultural University need to apply online for KEAM through the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE)(link is external) (link is external). Such candidates should compulsorily appear for and qualify in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2021, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). 

• Candidates seeking admission for B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) and B.Tech (Food Technology) offered by Kerala Agricultural University need to apply for KEAM through the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE)(link is external) (link is external) and write Engineering Entrance Examination. Allotment will be done by CEE.

• Admissions to the Diploma and PG Diploma programs is through the entrance examination conducted by the university.

Admission to Foreign Students KAU, Thrissur

• The foreign students shall apply for admission to the Programmes of the Kerala Agricultural University through the Indian Missions in the respective country and the application with biodata and copies of certificates to prove qualification and age has to be forwarded to the  Government of India by the Indian Embassy/Mission in the concerned country. The Govt. of India, ICAR, or EdCIL arranges for admission through the Indian Council of Agricultural Research/ DARE/ EdCIL. The seats allotted to foreign students will be over and above the notified strength in each course.

• Foreign students who have arrived in India on tourist visas will not be admitted unless they have received previous approval from the Government of India for their visa to be converted to a student visa. But their applications will be provisionally considered and their eligibility decided. An ‘Eligibility Certificate’ with an indication of the last date by which they must join the course will be issued to the eligible candidates and they will be advised to approach the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Foreigners' Registration Officer or the State Government where the foreign students are temporarily residing at the time of application. With such an application for conversion of their visa, they should attach the eligibility certificate in original.

• No self-financing foreign student will be admitted to any of the courses at KAU. The facilities of reservation of seats will henceforth be given only to the following two categories of foreign students viz.,

• Foreign students are supported by Govt. of India through scholarships/ fellowships.

• Foreign students are supported by respective Govt./International organizations through scholarships/fellowships and approved by Govt. of India (ICAR/DARE).
