These initiatives are strategically designed to propel students toward securing coveted projects, internships, and ultimately placement offers.
Internships are indispensable in today's society, where practical experience holds immense value, shaping individuals for their professional journeys. Acting as temporary work opportunities provided by companies or organizations, internships offer a hands-on learning experience in specific industries or fields relevant to students' areas of study or career aspirations. At JECRC University, we recognize the significance of internships as a bridge between academia and the real-world landscape, fostering skill development, networking, and career exploration crucial for our students' success in the modern workforce.
In our commitment to nurturing holistic development and providing a competitive edge to our students, JECRC University has instituted a comprehensive internship program spanning a full six months for all final-year students across disciplines. Ranked 62nd nationwide and 18th in the zone for internships by Internshala 2023, we take pride in our efforts to facilitate practical learning experiences that enrich our students' academic journey.
The Importance of Internships:
Internships offer practical application of knowledge, skill development, industry exposure, networking opportunities, exploration of career paths, and personal and professional growth. Employers often prefer candidates with prior work experience, and internships provide students with valuable workplace exposure and the opportunity to work on live projects. Internships @ JECRC University:
Our internship program is meticulously crafted, with partnerships established with external companies and organizations to provide students with diverse opportunities. A structured roadmap for the internship program is curated by a team of faculty experts in the Directorate of Internship, ensuring that students' learning objectives are aligned with industry standards. A mandatory six-month internship is integrated into the curriculum for final-year students across all disciplines, providing them with exposure to the industrial work environment and real-world experiences. Faculty internship guides, selected and trained by the Directorate of Internship, mentor students throughout their internship period, facilitating continuous learning and growth. Companies are invited to the campus for intern hiring, with an emphasis on stipend-based internships that often lead to Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) by employers. Interns receive an average stipend ranging from 20K to 60K per month, reflecting the value of their contributions and the recognition of their skills. Robust mechanisms for continuous assessments of interns, regular feedback from employers, and ongoing monitoring by Faculty Internship Guides ensure quality and accountability. Mentorship provided by industry experts in relevant areas of specialization further enhances students' learning experience and prepares them for the demands of the professional world. In conclusion, internships at JECRC University are not just a requirement but a transformative experience that sets our students apart in the competitive job market. By providing opportunities for practical learning, industry exposure, and mentorship, we empower our students to excel in their careers and make meaningful contributions to society.
