JEHCT is headed by its President M. Ramesh and Managing Director Mrs. R. Parvathi Ramesh. The trust was registered in 1997 and Jayam College of Engineering and Technology (JCET) was established in 1998. In 2008, Jayam Polytechnic College (JPC) was added to JEHCT and since then it has become a group of institutions.

The college has a well-equipped modern WI-Fl library with a total area of ??16000 sq. ft. The books are classified and organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System and follow an open-access system. The library has a computer catalog to check the availability of books. The library is open daily from 9:00 am. until 7:00 p.m. JCET was one of the first colleges in Tamil Nadu to adopt Wi-Fi standards, making the entire library fully Internet accessible. The library has a large library and it is constantly updated. National, and international journals, magazines, e-journals, e-books, project reports, and educational audio, and video content are available.

Hostel

There are separate hostel rooms for boys and girls with all amenities and a choice between vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. JCET has the best hostel facilities in the region with more than 300 rooms for boys and 50 rooms for girls. Computer terminals are available for students in each hostel. The college also offers a hostel on site for external and internal guests. Inns are exclusively controlled by our CEO Smt. Parvathi Ramesh. An entry fee is usually charged annually. Auditorium
