ITMI does not provide a guarantee for placements, but it strives to place students effectively in the communication industries. The institute aims to create opportunities for recruitment within its own publications and channels. To facilitate this, ITMI forms a Placement Committee each year, chaired by the Dean. The committee actively seeks out opportunities in the industry and works towards providing recruitment platforms both on and off-campus.
ITMI has been establishing formal and informal associations with organizations that consider ITMI trainees for hiring. They have developed relationships with several prominent recruiters in the industry. Some of the top recruiters at ITMI include India Today Television, TAKs, Zee News, Republic Bharat, AAJTAK, Asian News International, CNN- News 18, Axis My India, The Financial Express, NewsChecker, LiveLaw, Boom, The Lallantop, ETV, The Indian Express, Dainik Bhaskar, News24, Prime Focus Technologies, ABP Ganga, Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, News Nation, ABP News, and others.
