The placement opportunities are open to final year students where the placement is done 80% based on the interview of the students and 30% based on the academic record. The students have to go through a strict placement process. IDOL Gauhati also gives the opportunity to the students to do internships off campus as the distance courses are less burdensome. Although there is no placement cell, GUIDOL creates abundant placement opportunities.
