Central Institute Of Technology Admission 2024-25
- For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with a minimum of 45% marks in the Science stream. The selection process for B.Tech (Regular) involves assessing the candidate's performance in both the JEE Main and CITDEE examinations.
- For B.Tech Lateral Entry, candidates are required to have a Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering/Technology. Selection for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) can occur through Direct Vertical Entry or based on the marks obtained in CITLET.
- To pursue a Diploma, candidates should have passed the HSLC or its equivalent with an aggregate of 45% marks. The selection for the Diploma program is determined either by CITEE scores or marks obtained in the PAT, conducted by SCTE, Assam.
- Admission to B.Design mandates the completion of the 10+2 examination in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. The shortlisting of candidates for B.Des. is contingent on their performance in CITBDAT.
- Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar's B.Tech Admission for 2023 offers six specializations through both Regular and Lateral entry modes. In the first semester, 40% of the seats are allocated to JEE Main participants, while the remaining 60% are filled through CITDEE and subsequent counseling. Additionally, admission to the third semester of B.Tech through Lateral and Vertical Entry is available for diploma holders.
- For Direct Entry, candidates must have 10+2 (Science) with 45% marks in the aggregate, and 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined for GEN/OBC candidates (with a 5% relaxation for ST/SC/PC candidates).
- For Vertical Entry, a Diploma in the relevant branch with 65% marks for GE/OBC (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PC) is required. Fifteen seats in each specialization under Vertical Entry admissions to the third semester of B.Tech are reserved for eligible candidates of CIT, Kokrajhar.
- For Lateral Entry (CITLET), a Diploma in the related branch with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA for GEN/OBC (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PC) or B.Sc. (with Mathematics as a compulsory subject) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA for GEN/OBC (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PC) is necessary. Admission for such candidates is based on their performance in CITLET, conducted by the institute.
