JEE Advanced 2025 Application

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has made its information brochure for JEE Advanced 2025 available on its website, jeeadv.ac.in. As per schedule, the online application or registration for JEE Advanced 2025 will begin on April 23, 2025, at 10 am. Ineligible candidates may apply via the official website by May 2, 2025.

The JEE Advanced 2025 exams will be conducted on 18 May 2025 in 3 hours. The exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. There are also two sessions; that include Paper 1 from 9 am to noon and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The Joint Admission Board has reinstated the previous eligibility criteria in which the number of attempts under the JEE Advanced 2025 is confined to two. The board had increased attempts up to three, and considering all this, now again it was decided otherwise.

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a third attempt for JEE Advanced. This petition is to be heard on January 6, 2025. The plea moved by 22 candidates argued that the JAB must not reduce the number of attempts from three back to two for the forthcoming test.

IIT Kanpur has also announced the JEE Advanced 2025 syllabus and the information brochure as a regular information package, which explains criteria eligibility, fees payable, exam pattern and the marking scheme.

Candidates must be qualified in the JEE Main 2025 exam with a rank within the top 2,50,000 in the BE/BTech paper. The candidate must also have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Five years of age relaxation will be allowed for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
