The XAT 2024 syllabus covers Verbal & Logical Ability, General Knowledge, Decision Making, and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. Essay writing was once again a component of the XAT exam starting last year, according to XLRI. Many aspirants struggle to decide which topics are more important than others. This is mostly because each section/subject's XAT 2024 syllabus covers an enormous amount of material. According to an analysis of the trends, RC and critical reasoning account for 20–21 questions out of 26 in Verbal & Logical Ability, or roughly 80% of the total weight.
The XAT syllabus consists of four sections: Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. Each section has a specific weightage, and all the questions are multiple-choice type.
The Verbal and Logical Ability section is designed to test the candidate's English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. The Decision Making section assesses a candidate's ability to make sound decisions in complex situations. The Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation section measures the candidate's mathematical ability and data interpretation skills.

Ques. Is a calculator permitted during the XAT exam?
Ans. Calculators are not permitted during the XAT exam. For QADI questions, candidates must perform calculations by hand. Furthermore, no electronic device of any kind is permitted in the exam centre.
Ques. How many sections make up the syllabus for the XAT 2024?
Ans. Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Decision Making, and General Knowledge are the five sections that make up the XAT 2024 Syllabus. The first part of the paper will comprise three sections that need to be completed in 175 minutes, and the third part will include the GK and essay sections that need to be completed in 30 minutes. There will only be a mock keyboard test in Part 2.
Ques. Does CAT exam preparation suffice to pass XAT 2024?
Ans. The XAT and CAT syllabuses are nearly identical, candidates can review their XAT 2024 preparation materials. The only two XAT sections that require additional preparation are Decision Making and GK.
Ques. Is switching between the sections not allowed in the XAT online test?
Ans. No, there aren't any guidelines like that for alternating between QADI, VALR, and DM in XAT part 1. Candidates cannot, however, switch from the Part 1 paper to Part 2 or Part 3. Additionally, it would be ideal if you finished one section before moving on to the next.
