UPTET is a district-level exam held once a year that allows candidates to qualify as primary teachers (classes 1-5) and secondary teachers (classes 6-8) in schools in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Educational Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) conducts this exam for Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). The UPTET exam is conducted in two parts for two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2. UPTET paper 1 is conducted for candidates who want to become a teacher in classes 1-5. However, UPTET Paper 2 is for candidates who want to become a teacher for classes 6-8. However, candidates who wish to become teachers of classes 1-8 must appear in both papers of the UPTET 2024.

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a state-level Entrance exam that the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board conducts. It is compulsory for candidates who wish to start their career in teaching at the primary and upper primary levels in the state of Uttar Pradesh. To appear for the UPTET 2024 exam, candidates must confirm that they meet the eligibility criteria set by the exam conducting authority.
Here are some eligibility criteria for UPTET 2024 are as follows:
Nationality: - Candidates must be Indian Citizens
Educational Qualifications:- For Primary Level (Class I-V): Candidates must have completed their Intermediate (10+2) with a minimum 50% Score.
For Upper Primary Level (Class VI-VIII): Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from any stream or recognised institute in India. Also, candidates must have completed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) and have a Bachelor's degree in any Specializations along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Age Limit:- There is no maximum age limit in this exam but the minimum age limit is 18 years.
Relaxation:- There are relaxations in the upper age limit and educational qualifications for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the rules of the Uttar Pradesh government.
UPTET Application Form 2024 will be released after the issue of official notification. The UPTET Online Form will be made available online on the official website of the exam. Candidates will be required to do UPTET Application Form 2024 to appear for the examination.
