The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) releases the CLAT syllabus 2025 when they announce admissions. For the 5-year LLB program, the CLAT 2025 exam syllabus includes topics such as General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics and English. According to the CLAT LLM program, it includes LLB subjects. The exam will include 120 questions, each question worth 1 point. It is important for candidates preparing for CLAT 2025 to review the syllabus to understand the topics they need to study.

UG-CLAT for Class 12 students tests the candidate's basic speed reading skills as well as thinking and text analysis skills. According to several CLAT experts, successful candidates are usually very good at reading and understanding passages that may or may not contain legal terminology.
The General CLAT Exam Syllabus 2025 is divided into five different sections with different weightages. Sections like English Comprehension and Legal Reasoning are considered most important and carry significant weightage, while CLAT Maths is only around 10 per cent. The five subjects of the UG CLAT 2025 syllabus test some general and some specific skills. General skills include reading, critical thinking, and analytical skills, but subject-specific skills vary from subject to subject. We explore each topic in depth.
The English section of CLAT mainly tests the language skills of the candidate - reading, comprehension and grammar. Questions are asked in six to seven passages, each containing approximately 450 words. Each step is followed by a series of multiple-choice questions. Students must read the passages and answer the questions based on them.

CLAT is one of the toughest and most competitive law entrance exams in India. Most sections of CLAT 2025 focus on advanced reading and comprehension which cannot be developed overnight. Candidates should give at least six to eight months for CLAT preparation and especially cover each topic. After covering the main topics, candidates should spend enough time solving the previous year's essays and sample papers to refine their preparation for maximum results.
